The year of 2008 was a year to remember in the Beene Family chronicles. Before the celebration of the historic Presidential race which resulted in the election of our country's first African American President, the Beenes gathered once again to meet and welcome newly found Beene branches to the fold after being separated some 159 years ago during slavery. While we've left Ann Arbor with memories, photos and video clips from our Jubilee gathering, we want to also include some recorded interviews with various family members in attendance for the July 18-20th affair. We thank our Heavenly Father who allowed us to gather again one more time.

We hope that you enjoy the recordings and consider making a recording of your own of family members during the holiday season. All it takes is a digital voice recorder, an outline of questions and
a willing participant who is comfortable sitting in front of the microphone.  In fact, we want to thank our interviewees who agreed to sit down and share their stories. And even if you were not a part of this audio history tour, you're invited to make your own for we all have a story to tell and there's always someone willing to listen.

The Jubilee Reunion audio recording is approximately 54 minutes in length. The online interview should begin within five-seven(5-7) seconds upon visiting the link. If it does not, please refresh the page by clicking on the little icon that looks like a house on the top right corner of the page.
